The Mayor

The Internet is wrought with thieves and scoundrels. Thieves will steal your credit card number and, with this same card, will purchase thousands of dollars worth of products. Scoundrels will pretend to sell you quality products with exceptional service and support while, in reality, the vendors are less-than-scrupulous business people that just want to your money. You can shop online and have a silk smooth experience. Conversely, when you encounter a thief or scoundrel, your experience can be less than pleasurable. My Simple City strives to be a safe haven within the wild west of the Internet.

Matt Bernstein, the mayor of My Simple City, is responsible for making sure that My Simple City delivers a pleasurable online shopping experience. This goal includes having a user-friendly, simple website where consumers can buy a plethora of products from numerous niche stores and receive quality service and support. As a driving force behind My Simple City, Matt plays the critical role of constantly striving to fulfill My Simple City's consumer-centric vision.

During his career, Matt has worked within numerous traditional, established businesses like eWeek (formerly known as PCWeek), PCMagazine and, after graduating in 1996 from the NYU Stern School of Business, a management consulting company where he managed the Motorola, Nortel, ABB, and Eastman-Kodak accounts. Matt has also worked within numerous start-up, entrepreneurial ventures including WindowsUser, a digital solutions company called Giant Step and a daily newspaper dedicated to the 1994 World Cup of soccer called The '94 Cup Daily. In all cases, whether the business was established or a start-up, was static or entrepreneurial, the key to the business' long-term success and growth was the consumer and fulfilling the consumers needs. As the mayor of My Simple City, Matt makes it his top-priority to make sure that you, the consumer, is at the center of our business.
