Shipping Policy
Shipping to Alaska & Hawaii
Orders being shipped to Alaska or Hawaii must choose 2-day shipping as a minimum. Even if you don't select 2-day shipping, you will automatically be charged the 2-day shipping rates when your order is processed. Note that UPS and FedEx 2-Day Delivery to certain areas of Alaska and Hawaii can take 3 business days, depending on destination ZIP code. We do NOT ship to Puerto Rico at this time.
Express Shipping
If you would like your order shipped via 2 Day or Next Day, please make
that selection at checkout. Express shipping charges are calculated by
weight and location and will be calculated when you checkout. We do our
best to process every order ASAP but we offer no guarantee that your order
will go out the same day. Your items will ship the day they are processed
and not necessarily the day the order is placed. (Saturday, Sunday and
national holidays are not considered business days for delivery purposes.)
If you are concerned about express shipping times, we encourage you to
contact us to make sure the item you need is in stock and can go out the
same day. You can also go to UPS.com
and FedEx.com for
the relevant shipping information, terms, conditions, and details.
United States Postal Service
Items shipped via U.S. Mail will be charged according to weight and box
dimensions (this includes APO orders).
International Shipping
We currently do not ship to addresses outside of the United States.
APO Shipping
We are glad to ship to APO's if possible (some boxes are too big). As
you know, APO service can (and will) take a long time for delivery. It
also bears mentioning that My Simple City.com can only track the relevant
package up to it arriving at the APO. We apologize but once the APO has
received the package, we're unable to track the package and are no longer
responsible for the delivery of the package. Once the APO has received
the package, the customer is now liale for the delivery of the product.
Notice to PayPal Users
If you are paying with PayPal, occasionally PayPal needs to verify and
clear your PayPal payment. In these cases, please allow 2-5 business days
for your payment to clear. Payment must be received before your order
can be shipped.
Notice to Debit / Check Card Users
Please be advised that banks do NOT treat debit or checking cards like
a credit card; they can put two "holds" on your funds. First,
your funds are held for verification purposes each time you place an order.
They are held a second time when we process your sale. Please understand
that there is nothing that we can do on our end to resolve this. These
holds are internal banking functions of the bank that handles your card
account. Additionally, be aware that a pre-authorization is NOT a charge;
it only checks your account for available funds, holds those funds, and
checks the address information you provided against the card company's
records. The "hold" on your funds will eventually drop off the
account after a short timeframe (sometimes up to 10 days) that is determined
by your bank's policies. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience
this banking procedure may cause you.
Credit Card Processing
This Site is a department of My Simple City.com, and all credit card processing
will be performed by My Simple City.com. The charge on you statement will
appear from My Simple City.com. If a purchase is for a substantial dollar
total as dictated by the My Simple City.com staff, My Simple City.com
may need to contact you before we can process your order.
Though My Simple City.com is located just outside of Washington DC in Maryland, numerous of the retailers, wholesalers, and distributors within My Simple City.com are located throughout the United States of America. All shipments that are sent to the same state as the retailer that is shipping the product will be charged the sales tax of the relevant state where the retailer is located.
